This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide analytical and category management support to enhance business performance across various customers and categories.
• Oversee item and product databases utilizing Circana, SPINS, and Nielsen, which includes managing new item submissions and ongoing updates.
• Monitor competitive products and new SKUs entering the marketplace.
• Relay database updates and modifications to internal teams.
• Collaborate with data providers and internal stakeholders to address data accuracy and item setup challenges.
• Maintain and refine recurring reports across retailers, items, and competitive dynamics.
• Create and distribute customer scorecards utilizing POS data from Whole Foods, Costco, Target, Kroger, and other key accounts.
• Offer commentary and insights on customer, brand, and category performance.
• Identify significant trend drivers and communicate areas needing further exploration.
• Develop and refresh weekly and monthly reports using data from Circana, SPINS, and Nielsen.
• Analyze POS, shopper, and category trends across brands, segments, sizes, pricing, promotions, and distribution.
• Share market and shopper insights with internal teams and assist in customer presentations and category reviews.
• Create planograms and shelf mock-ups for customer meetings, category reviews, and internal presentations.
• Utilize VisionGroup or other space planning software to create precise shelf sets.
• Leverage category and shopper insights to guide assortment and merchandising recommendations.
• Support the Natural Channel and smaller customer accounts with analytics and category management.
• Assist Sales teams with customer reporting, category insights, assortment analysis, and competitive tracking.
• Engage in customer preparation and meetings.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2-4 years of experience in Category Management, Customer Development, Sales Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related CPG function.
• Familiarity with syndicated, POS, and/or consumer/shopper data.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical abilities to convert data into clear, actionable insights.
• Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to data accuracy.
• Knowledge of CPG, consumer, and shopper fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with syndicated data sources such as Circana, SPINS, and/or Nielsen.
• Preferred experience in the CPG Beverage Category.
• Preferred experience with Circana, SPINS, and Nielsen.
• Preferred experience managing syndicated data or product/item databases.
• Preferred experience with customer POS portals and scorecarding.
• Preferred experience with VisionGroup or other planogram/space planning software.
• Preferred experience supporting Natural Channel or smaller CPG accounts.
