Senior Cardiologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Deliver cardiology expertise to pharmaceutical sponsors through various consulting services, including the design and development of protocols, cardiac safety and efficacy strategies, statistical analysis plans, writing expert reports, and representing regulatory interests.

• Act as a cardiology liaison among internal departments, facilitating cardiologist activities, cardiac solutions, safety consulting, and compliance strategies related to cardiac matters.

• Assist with clinical consulting for Digital Physiology and other endpoints at Clario, fostering opportunities across business units and therapeutic area strategies.

• Engage in discussions with clients regarding prospective and ongoing studies that necessitate cardiac safety or efficacy strategies.

• Support the leadership of Cardiac Solutions Scientific and Medical Affairs in the development, maintenance, and revision of policies, procedures, and SOPs, including Cardiology Review Guidelines and expanded digital physiology endpoints.

• Remain informed on scientific advancements in cardiac safety and efficacy, educating internal stakeholders as appropriate.

• Aid in the generation of endpoint data through the interpretation of ECGs, Holters, patch devices, stress tests, blood pressure variability assessments, and related endpoints, including quality assurance and quality control activities.

• Contribute to ECG core lab procedures to improve interpretation quality, consistency, and operational efficiency.

• Provide sales support by offering scientific and clinical expertise as required.

• Assist in the development and validation of systems for EXPERT and other platforms at Clario.

• Participate in meetings and research partnerships with regulatory authorities.

• Lead in statistical innovation and research, aiding sponsor interactions involving statistical design and analysis, and contributing strategically across Clario's business lines.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD degree is mandatory.

• ABIM Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease is essential.

• Candidates based in Canada with active U.S. board certification are encouraged to submit their applications.

• Preference will be given to those with training in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.

• A minimum of three years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry as an employed cardiologist or consultant, especially in early-phase development, is required.

• Five or more years of clinical cardiology and electrocardiography experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with concentration-effect modeling and strong knowledge of ICH E14 guidance is preferred.

• Experience in authoring reports for QT waivers and a working knowledge of clinical pharmacology are desirable.

• Previous experience working with or consulting for pharmaceutical sponsors is required.

• A demonstrated commitment to high ethical standards and representing Clario with integrity and professionalism is essential.
