Senior BWHana/BDC Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Analyze cross-functional data and deliver insights to business teams.

• Lead and oversee both on-shore and off-shore engineering project teams to ensure timely delivery of data solutions.

• Design, construct, and manage data models.

• Create database views, table functions, and models utilizing SAP HANA and public cloud data platforms.

• Empower data science, business, and engineering teams to develop analytics swiftly and efficiently.

• Specify data integration requirements between systems and coordinate their execution with extended teams.

• Adhere to established architecture, design, and deployment processes to maintain policy compliance.

• Establish, communicate, and uphold technical standards.

• Collaborate with larger IT and engineering teams to create analytics solutions.

• Take ownership of the data model across analytics solutions and the data warehouse.

• Offer technical mentorship to fellow data engineers.

• Work alongside stakeholders to address current and future data infrastructure requirements.

• Implement and manage data flow solutions from ingestion to consumption.

• Identify, collect, and ensure reliable data connections from enterprise systems, in-house databases, and third-party sources.

• Assist data analysts, data scientists, and various teams, systems, and products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in BWHana/Datasphere software development.

• More than 5 years of experience developing comprehensive business intelligence solutions, encompassing data modeling, ETL, and reporting.

• At least 5 years of familiarity with relational database concepts.

• Strong understanding of star schema, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, SQL tuning, OLAP, and Big Data technologies, including HANA and Snowflake or other modern databases.

• 3–4 years of hands-on experience with SAP HANA databases.

• Proficient in managing large databases, BI applications, ensuring data quality, and performance tuning.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• Capable of working independently and as part of a geographically diverse team.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud solutions is a plus.

• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory pipeline management and creation is a plus.

• Knowledge of Logic Apps is a plus.

• Awareness of other cloud solutions is advantageous.

• Development experience in Python, R, or JavaScript is a bonus.

• Experience in machine learning is a significant advantage.
