Senior Business Systems Analyst – D365 Financial Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the main functional authority for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

• Oversee the design, configuration, testing, implementation, support, upgrades, and optimization of D365 Finance modules.

• Evaluate and enhance financial business processes throughout the organization.

• Guide the requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and solution design efforts.

• Perform cost-benefit and ROI analyses for suggested improvements.

• Provide expertise on General Ledger, Accounts Payable, ExFlow, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank Management, Treasury Automation, Financial Dimensions, Budgeting and Forecasting, Project Accounting, Cost Management, Revenue Recognition, Expense Management, Procurement and Vendor Management, as well as Financial Reporting and Analytics.

• Facilitate workshops and functional design sessions.

• Convert business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs.

• Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, workflows, reports, and extensions.

• Develop and implement testing strategies; manage user acceptance testing and issue resolution.

• Offer production support and engage in escalation processes.

• Maintain documentation for applications, process diagrams, and support procedures.

• Assist with financial data validation, reconciliation, troubleshooting, Power BI reporting, and financial dashboards.

• Drive cross-functional initiatives that involve Finance, Operations, HR, and IT.

• Mentor Business Systems Analysts and other team members.

• Counsel stakeholders and steer decisions regarding enterprise applications and business processes.

• Support information security controls, audits, governance, testing, and change management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, management information systems, computer science, or a related field is strongly preferred.

• Over 8 years of experience in analyzing business and system requirements to design and implement enterprise business applications and solutions.

• More than 8 years of experience with D365 Finance & Operations, particularly in GL, AP, AR, Cost Management, and Project Management modules.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.

• Capability to convert complex business requirements into scalable system solutions.

• Strong experience in process improvement and business process reengineering.

• Proven track record in leading cross-functional projects and initiatives.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

• Ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

• Strong project management and organizational skills.

• Experience in Agile and hybrid project environments.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies in Azure DevOps is preferred.

• Experience in professional services and/or the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
