Senior Application Migration Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate application discovery and collaborative sessions with application owners and technical experts.

• Gather, verify, and reconcile application inventory, configuration items, dependencies, and ownership using ServiceNow CMDB.

• Collaborate with the CMDB team for necessary updates.

• Develop and sustain requirements, acceptance criteria, test cases, and traceability in Jama Connect or similar platforms.

• Create comprehensive migration schedules, dependency trackers, and critical paths.

• Guide technical delivery teams with detailed hour-by-hour cutover plans.

• Generate migration plans, wave packages, execution runbooks, readiness packages, Go/No-Go documentation, and acceptance materials.

• Oversee change management activities, including RFCs, CAB approvals, and production release schedules.

• Lead a migration team, maintaining accountability for designated applications from planning to acceptance.

• Raise risks, issues, and cross-team dependencies to program leadership.

• Facilitate stakeholder decision-making and resolve challenges under time constraints during migration windows.

• Assist in a large-scale enterprise cloud migration from on-premises data centers to Azure and AWS.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.

• At least eight years of experience in business analysis, application modernization, or complex IT migration programs.

• Proven experience leading application discovery and stakeholder working sessions.

• Strong understanding of application architecture, including integrations, databases, and infrastructure dependencies.

• Experience in developing detailed project timelines, managing dependencies, and coordinating technical delivery teams.

• Skilled in creating migration plans, execution runbooks, readiness packages, and acceptance documentation.

• Excellent facilitation, communication, documentation, and issue resolution abilities.

• Capacity to tackle complex challenges with minimal guidance and offer functional leadership to team members.

• Experience in cloud migrations, specifically in Azure or AWS.

• Practical experience with ServiceNow CMDB, including understanding configuration item relationships and dependency analysis.

• Familiarity with Jama Connect or similar requirements and test management tools.

• Knowledge of change management processes, CAB approvals, and production release schedules.

• Relevant business analysis or project management certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or PMP.

• Experience with federal program delivery.

• Understanding of AI technologies and their practical applications in IT delivery or cloud environments.
