This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Act as the Underwriting and Portfolio Health Subject-Matter Expert (SME).
• Manage portfolio health through policy assessments, eligibility evaluations, cancellations, non-renewals, rescissions, and compliance-related decisions.
• Provide mentorship to the Policy Servicing Clerk team members.
• Offer guidance and escalation support for Policy Servicing Clerks.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to create and implement Portfolio Health initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to regulations concerning underwriting actions and communications.
• Establish the process vision, guiding principles, strategies, future state designs, and success metrics for Portfolio Health verticals.
• Design, document, and execute comprehensive processes, including scope definitions, workflows, process maps, and operational standards.
• Guarantee the consistent application of standards across various regions, functions, and teams.
• Set KPIs and monitoring frameworks.
• Collaborate across teams to enhance processes and address cross-functional conflicts.
• Maintain a strategic improvement roadmap and prioritize initiatives accordingly.
• Oversee the implementation of changes.
• Ensure that job aids and process documentation are accurate and current.
• Serve as an escalation point and decision-making authority for process design.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Comprehensive knowledge of auto insurance in its entirety.
• Previous experience in auto underwriting.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
• Motivated and driven to enhance processes and technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong collaboration abilities.

• Proficiency in using AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to facilitate daily tasks.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted research, summarization, and content generation.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethical considerations and data protection.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant business or operations experience is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in auto underwriting is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
