This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collect requirements and business context from internal teams prior to scoping work.
• Convey scoped projects to the external data agency partner and oversee daily timelines.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, and maintain ongoing communication with vendors.
• Perform technical validation of agency deliverables through testing, quality assurance, and data structure evaluation.
• Raise scope changes and concerns with the manager.
• Engage in discovery discussions with stakeholders and outline routine analytics requests.
• Direct well-defined tasks for execution and escalate strategic, complex, or competing requests.
• Create dashboards and reports for finance, marketing, operations, and sales teams.
• Develop and refine SQL queries for analysis and reporting purposes.
• Conduct assigned analyses and models, providing support for advanced modeling as needed.
• Ensure data quality and assess technical deliverables against the data warehouse.
• Manage the Business Operations project tracker, backlog, and priorities.
• Monitor dependencies, timelines, and obstacles across ongoing projects.
• Follow up on any missing inputs and keep stakeholders updated.
• Present trade-offs and resource conflicts to the manager for decision-making.
• Oversee dashboard performance and resolve technical issues.
• Address inquiries and handle ad-hoc analytics requests from various business sectors.
• Review data sources for connection failures and quality concerns.
• Maintain documentation and a knowledge base for custom data solutions.
• Manage routine updates and maintenance on existing dashboards and reports.
• 3–5 years of experience in business operations, data analytics, or business analytics.
• Proficient SQL skills, including joins, window functions, and CTEs.
• Practical experience with BigQuery and a modern BI platform such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Capable of building complex dashboards, optimizing performance, and adhering to best practices.
• Knowledge of data pipelines, validation processes, and quality checks.
• Ability to communicate with engineers and validate technical outputs.
• Project management experience or mindset, encompassing timeline tracking, managing dependencies, stakeholder follow-ups, and risk escalation.
• Skill in explaining analytics to both technical and non-technical audiences and knowing when to escalate issues.
• Experience across multiple functions, particularly in finance and marketing.
• Background in managing vendors or collaborating with external teams.
• Proven track record of delivering quality work on schedule amidst ambiguous requirements.
• Experience with subscription or DTC business models (preferred).
• Familiarity with CPG or omnichannel retail data, such as Amazon, wholesale, or retail POS (preferred).
