This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Propel business expansion by recognizing and nurturing new business prospects.
• Cultivate relationships with both potential and current clients.
• Present biologics drug substance capabilities and services tailored to customer requirements.
• Oversee strategic client engagements and act as a principal point of contact.
• Address client issues while pinpointing opportunities to enhance partnerships.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to set business goals, financial objectives, and growth plans.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, the competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and customer demands.
• Lead commercial contract negotiations with clients.
• Work alongside Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders on contractual agreements.
• Assist in revenue forecasting, budgeting, cost management, and financial performance analysis.
• Collaborate with Program Management, Manufacturing, MSAT, Finance, Supply Chain, and other departments.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to foster professional development, engagement, accountability, and business outcomes.
• Adhere to quality standards, cGMP, EHSS, and site protocols.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement, safety, and quality initiatives.
• Exhibit customer-driven, accountable, curious, ethical, and PPI-focused behaviors.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, business, or a related field is required.
• At least 12 years of proven experience in business development, sales, account management, or similar commercial roles within the biopharmaceutical sector.
• Preference for experience in the biologics drug substance CDMO environment.
• A demonstrated history of identifying, developing, and successfully finalizing new business opportunities.
• In-depth knowledge of biologics drug substance development and manufacturing processes, including cGMP standards and relevant industry benchmarks.
• Outstanding communication, influencing, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong business and strategic insight.
• Financial literacy, including experience in analyzing financial data, creating budgets and forecasts, and tracking key performance indicators.
• Excellent project and priority management capabilities.
• Proven leadership skills.
• A proactive, self-driven, and solution-focused mindset.
• A customer-oriented approach.
• Willingness to travel a minimum of 25%.
• An advanced degree such as an MBA or PhD is preferred.
