This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Identify, assess, and secure business opportunities.
• Coordinate activities related to business generation.
• Develop tailored sales strategies that align with company, group, and line objectives for Mission and Enterprise Information Technology solutions.
• Establish business relationships with both current and prospective clients.
• Understand client needs, propose solutions, provide support, address client inquiries, and pre-position solutions for RFPs.
• Collaborate with leaders in various business areas to secure, maintain, and expand accounts.
• Create and present engaging presentations to potential clients during meetings and industry events.
• Conduct client visits and translate customer challenges and requirements into effective solutions.
• Participate in checkpoint reviews, black hat sessions, collaboration and solution workshops, proposal reviews, and the development of business cases.
• Build relationships with industry partners, including competitors, niche capability firms, and small businesses.
• Maintain sales pipeline information within the company CRM system.
• Collaborate with management on sales objectives, planning, forecasting, and both short- and long-term business development strategies.
• Lead strategic teaming initiatives and the development of white papers.
• Drive technical and acquisition client call plans and outreach efforts.
• Develop, qualify, and pursue opportunities to secure work and generate revenue and profit.
• Over 20 years of experience in DoD or Federal sectors.
• Minimum of 5 years in business development roles within the Defense or Federal Mission and/or Enterprise Information Technology sectors.
• Extensive experience with DoD or other governmental organizations.
• Proven ability to carry out the business development function with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated success in building winning Mission and/or Enterprise IT solutions with awards exceeding $100M.
• Experience in successfully negotiating with potential team members during initial gap analysis assessments.
• Capability to evaluate the competitive landscape, including all evaluation factors, both price and non-price.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience is mandatory.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
• US citizenship is required to secure a Secret clearance.
• Preferred: Previous business development experience supporting Air Force or DHS opportunities.
• Preferred: An active Secret or higher US Government Clearance.
• Preferred: Military and/or federal civilian Information Technology experience.
• Preferred: Experience within leading IT service provider business development organizations.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs) and/or Multi-Agency Contracts (MACs).
