Senior Business Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Create strategic marketing initiatives that take into account the agency's strengths, competitive landscape, and prevailing market conditions.

• Identify and secure lucrative new business prospects within targeted markets.

• Formulate and execute strategies aimed at boosting market share.

• Build and sustain relationships with key agencies through customized insurance offerings.

• Provide education to agencies regarding product features, market placement, and effective sales strategies.

• Meet or surpass sales objectives to foster revenue expansion.

• Design and implement strategies for cross-selling and up-selling.

• Conduct market research and analyze competitive data.

• Perform additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in strategic business development, marketing, or a similar position.

• Completion of or ongoing progress toward certifications such as AU, CPCU, CIC, INS, or ARM.

• Strong grasp of agency dynamics, marketing principles, underwriting processes, and risk management.

• Expertise in analyzing competitive data and industry trends.

• Excellent analytical capabilities and proficiency in using data to guide decision-making.

• Capability to apply underwriting rules, guidelines, rating manual standards, and relevant insurance laws and regulations.

• Proven decision-making skills and a customer-focused approach.

• Willingness to travel frequently for day and overnight trips, 60%–80% of the time.

• Must have authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
