Senior Business Analyst – IT Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Advocate and embody Agile values and principles throughout the organization.

• Collaborate with the strategic Product Owner to outline features and functionalities.

• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to accurately document project definitions.

• Lead the team and organization in the application of Agile/Scrum practices and values.

• Assist the team in self-organization and guide them in adapting to feedback, metrics, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Evaluate Scrum maturity and mentor the team towards enhancing their maturity levels.

• Eliminate impediments or guide the team in overcoming them.

• Foster a trustworthy and safe environment for raising concerns and resolving issues.

• Facilitate delivery, discussions, decision-making, conflict resolution, and Scrum ceremonies.

• Enhance internal and external communication, transparency, and information sharing.

• Support and educate the Product Owner on backlog readiness, grooming, and maintenance.

• Coordinate involvement in backlog refinement, road mapping, release planning, and sprint planning.

• Collaborate with the Product Owner to draft user stories and acceptance criteria, including technical dependencies.

• Assist with project deliverables, product documentation, and other necessary outputs.

• Engage in retrospectives and promote positive changes and self-corrective behaviors.

• Maintain timely and accurate updates in time and project tracking systems.

• Enhance domain knowledge of systems, products, and the industry.

• Work with team members to identify and implement best practices.

• Plan and execute project implementations alongside the Product Owner and team.

• Identify and mitigate project risks effectively.

• Bring technical product knowledge into strategic business discussions.

• Execute other assigned tasks and projects as needed.

• Safeguard client data against unauthorized access or improper transmission.

• Strong understanding of Scrum theory, practices, and rules.

• Experience with Scrum metrics and the ability to interpret them effectively.

• Skills in servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, and enhancing transparency.

• Ability to foresee issues and respond proactively.

• Proven success in a Business Analyst role or equivalent experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.

• Excellent analytical capabilities.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including active listening.

• Ability to anticipate project challenges and assist the team in avoiding or resolving them.

• Proficiency in PC applications, including SQL and MS Office products.

• Familiarity with common business applications and analytical tools.

• A minimum of two years of experience serving as a Scrum Master for a software development team applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.

• Knowledge of other Agile methodologies, including XP, Kanban, Crystal, and FDD.

• Experience in writing user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Relevant knowledge of the technologies utilized by the team.

• Prior experience as a team lead.

• Strong mentoring skills.

• Adherence to company and unit policies and procedures.

• Responsibility for ensuring the protection and security of client data.
