This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vermont.

📋 Description

• Create and assess Asset Maintenance Plans for transmission and substation equipment.

• Define and standardize preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance initiatives.

• Set criteria for end-of-life (EOL) and replacement.

• Develop and oversee strategies for spare equipment and parts.

• Implement NERC and FERC reliability standards.

• Evaluate asset performance, maintenance records, and failure statistics.

• Collaborate with Transmission Operations and Maintenance, System Planning and Protection Engineering, Procurement and Project Management, as well as Environmental and Compliance teams.

• Manage and enhance the life cycle of physical assets.

• Formulate asset management strategies and business processes.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical) or a related discipline is mandatory.

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in electric utility transmission or substation engineering, asset management, reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or a similar position.

• Proven expertise in high-voltage substation equipment (115kV to 345kV), circuit breaker technologies, power transformers, and diagnostic techniques.

• Solid understanding of asset lifecycle management and reliability-centered maintenance principles.

• Knowledge of NERC standards and IEEE/IEC maintenance and testing guidelines.

• Experience with asset management or CMM/EAM systems.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation abilities.
