Business Analyst – Telecom Revenue Assurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct Revenue Assurance audits for designated telecommunications clients to detect billing errors, revenue loss, and opportunities for under-billing.

• Evaluate and reconcile data related to customer revenue, billing, provisioning, ordering, invoices, and contracts.

• Utilize anomaly detection, trend analysis, contract examination, order-to-bill analysis, and invoice verification techniques.

• Ascertain whether discrepancies indicate genuine revenue loss or under-billing situations.

• Confirm billing issues by investigating contracts, orders, provisioning records, invoices, and billing regulations.

• Collaborate with client teams to rectify inaccuracies in billing through the ordering and billing processes.

• Monitor opportunities, corrections, and financial outcomes via client portals and internal dashboards.

• Oversee revenue assurance opportunities, ensuring corrections are enacted and reflected in billing.

• Generate analytical reports, findings, and supporting documentation for both internal and client inquiries.

• Achieve performance, productivity, and revenue recovery goals while reporting on progress.

• Convey findings and articulate financial impacts and root causes to both technical and business stakeholders.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for recognizing patterns, investigating anomalies, and identifying root causes.

• Capability to work with and analyze extensive and complex datasets from diverse sources.

• Strong knowledge of the telecommunications industry, especially in areas such as customer ordering, provisioning, billing, contracts, and revenue processes.

• Proficiency in interpreting telecommunications contracts, service orders, invoices, and billing records.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies across multiple systems and data sources.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reconciliation, filtering, formulas, and reporting.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Access and the ability to query and analyze data effectively.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.

• Capability to learn and navigate client portals, billing systems, ordering systems, and internal tracking/reporting tools.

• Ability to translate technical and analytical results into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.

• Bachelor's Degree.
