Senior Business Analyst – Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients and technical teams to pinpoint business challenges and devise appropriate analytical solutions.

• Design and plan straightforward to moderately complex business processes and system adjustments.

• Provide recommendations to enhance and support business operations.

• Collect, analyze, and document intricate client business requirements and processes through workshops and interviews.

• Convey requirements to relevant stakeholders.

• Develop complex test case scenarios and oversee or manage business application testing.

• Create business requirements documents and user stories.

• Organize, assign, and supervise the workload of other business analysts as necessary.

• Evaluate systems and associated data to reveal actionable insights.

• Assist in estimating time for project tasks.

• Refresh process and procedural documentation.

• Gain a foundational understanding of the technical development cycle for mobile applications or web portals.

• Support QA, UAT, and Release phases through defect analysis and change management.

• Undertake additional assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.

• A degree in Business, IT, or a related field.

• Prior experience in the insurance sector is essential.

• Certification in Health Insurance-related domains from INS/LOMA or III is a plus.

• Familiarity with business analysis principles including requirement definition, translation into technical solutions, and an Agile approach to prioritizing tasks into epics and sprints.

• Proficient business analysis skills encompassing facilitation, process documentation, requirements gathering, and user acceptance testing.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines within established time frames.

• Experience in an Agile and/or Scrum setting is mandatory.

• Basic knowledge of generating process documentation, as well as documenting system functionality, data integration, and workflow.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Technical writing skills are advantageous.
