This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Oversee the integration and validation of external data sources, including credit bureaus, bank and open finance data, tax data, and financial data.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on data pipelines and ensuring data quality.
• Streamline customer data consents and connections to ensure reliable and compliant access to external data.
• Transition manual credit and portfolio processes into repeatable, well-documented SQL/Python workflows.
• Establish data quality checks and maintain documentation.
• Develop and enhance underwriting criteria and credit limit strategies.
• Create customer management strategies, including adjustments to credit lines, such as increases, decreases, and reinstatements.
• Identify high-risk customers and establish loss-mitigation processes.
• Collaborate with Sales and Business Development to align growth strategies with credit policies.
• Define portfolio KPIs and create dashboards.
• Develop early-warning signals and monitoring routines.
• Provide Collections with insights for segmentation and prioritization.
• Contribute to loss forecasting and risk-adjusted return analysis alongside Finance.
• Utilize statistical methods to pinpoint risk drivers and inform strategic decisions.
• Develop, validate, and monitor credit risk models.
• Help establish rules and data requirements for automated credit decision-making.
• Translate model outcomes into actionable recommendations for credit leadership and business partners.
• Employ AI tools to assist in analysis and verify outputs against source data.
• Propose and assist in enhancing AI workflows.
• 3–7 years of analytics experience in credit risk, with practical experience in commercial or SMB credit within cards, payments, lending, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL.
• Working knowledge of Python for analysis and statistical modeling, including regression, segmentation, and clustering.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitHub) is an advantage.
• Direct experience with external or alternative data sources, preferably including their integration or cleansing.
• Experience in utilizing AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini in analytical tasks.
• Proven success in turning analysis into implemented credit policies or strategic changes with measurable outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Ability to work with significant overlap with Latin American business hours.
• Preferred knowledge of Latin American credit data and open finance ecosystems.
• Experience in implementing, validating, or monitoring risk and scoring models is preferred.
• Experience in supporting collections strategies or early-warning programs is preferred.
• Familiarity with visualization tools such as Tableau, Metabase, or Claude Visualization Tools is preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is preferred.
• Experience in a high-growth startup or fintech environment is preferred.
