This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Lead the integration and validation of external data sources, which include credit bureaus, bank and open finance data, as well as tax and financial data.
• Take ownership of cleaning up customer data consents and connections to ensure reliable and compliant data access and refreshes.
• Transform manual credit and portfolio processes into repeatable, documented workflows utilizing SQL and Python.
• Establish data quality checks and maintain relevant documentation.
• Develop and enhance underwriting criteria and credit limit strategies by leveraging both internal and external data.
• Create customer management strategies that encompass credit line increases, decreases, and reinstatements.
• Identify high-risk customers and establish loss-mitigation processes.
• Collaborate with Sales and Business Development to ensure alignment between growth strategies and credit policy.
• Define portfolio KPIs and construct dashboards to monitor portfolio health and performance of strategies.
• Create early-warning signals and monitoring routines for accounts that are deteriorating.
• Provide Collections with insights for segmentation and prioritization.
• Contribute to loss forecasting and risk-adjusted return analysis in conjunction with Finance.
• Utilize statistical methods like logistic regression, segmentation, and clustering.
• Develop, validate, and oversee credit risk models.
• Assist in defining rules and data requirements for automated credit decision-making in collaboration with Product and Engineering.
• Translate model outcomes into actionable recommendations for credit leadership and business partners.
• Employ AI tools to enhance analysis, verify outputs against source data, and optimize AI workflows.
• Collaborate with data science, engineering, product, collections, and sales; note that this is an individual contributor position rather than a management role.
• 3–7 years of analytics experience in credit risk, particularly with hands-on involvement in commercial or SMB credit within cards, payments, lending, or a related sector.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL; capable of writing queries against large, complex datasets and ensuring data quality validation.
• Working knowledge of Python for analysis and statistical modeling, including regression, segmentation, and clustering.
• Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub is an advantage.
• Ability to operate independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Direct experience with external or alternative data sources, particularly in terms of integration or cleaning.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini in analytical contexts.
• Proven success in translating analysis into implemented credit policies or strategic changes that yield measurable outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with non-technical stakeholders.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Willingness to work with significant overlap with Latin American business hours.
• Preferred knowledge of Latin American credit data and open finance ecosystems.
• Experience in implementing, validating, or monitoring risk and scoring models in collaboration with data science teams is preferred.
• Familiarity with collections strategy or early-warning programs is preferred.
• Experience with visualization tools like Tableau, Metabase, or Claude Visualization Tools is preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is preferred.
