Senior Business Analyst, Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Participate in the entire project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and analysis to testing and implementation.

• Gather and specify requirements, identifying user and business needs, and translate them into functional definitions for development teams.

• Develop user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Analyze and conduct the initial functional diagnosis of tickets and incidents, determining whether they relate to functional, data, integration, or application issues.

• Utilize SQL to validate data and provide evidence for incident analysis.

• Document the analyses conducted and the solutions applied, or manage escalation to the appropriate team.

• Monitor assigned tickets until resolution and closure.

• Identify recurring incidents and assist in their analysis and resolution.

• Collaborate with leaders in defining analysis strategies and priorities.

• Facilitate communication between Business, Development, QA, and Operations.

• Evaluate processes and systems, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Participate in progress presentations, training sessions, and other communication instances related to the project.

• Use Jira for managing and tracking requirements and incidents, and Confluence for functional documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as a Business Analyst / Functional Analyst involved in the complete software project lifecycle.

• Proficient in gathering and analyzing requirements, functional documentation, and defining user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and acting as a liaison between Business, Development, QA, and Operations.

• Experience in analyzing and tracking incidents and evolutionary requirements.

• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and validation.

• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.

• Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and determine the appropriate resolution or escalation process.

• Experience in communicating progress, delivering presentations, and facilitating training sessions.

• Availability to work as a contractor for a period of 2 to 4 months.

• Reside in Chile, Peru, or Colombia and be available to work 100% remotely.
