Senior Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Gather, assess, and document business and system requirements.

• Convert business needs into high-level and technical User Stories.

• Assist in managing the backlog, refining, and prioritizing tasks alongside Product Owners and development teams.

• Collaborate with multiple teams, at least two, to ensure alignment and consistency in solutions.

• Engage in system migrations and platform transformations.

• Analyze and support data models as well as relational database architectures.

• Work with business and IT stakeholders to design scalable solutions.

• Aid in requirements validation and User Acceptance Testing.

• Keep high-quality documentation updated in Jira and Confluence.

• Contribute to the design of solutions for web-based and distributed systems.

• Operate in complex, multi-system project environments utilizing fixed-price and Scrum-based Agile delivery methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst.

• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases.

• Knowledge of data modeling principles.

• Experience with distributed systems and platform-based architectures.

• Background in web-based systems development projects.

• Proficient in using Jira and Confluence tools.

• Demonstrated experience in migration projects and complex IT initiatives involving multiple teams.

• Experience in fixed-price project settings.

• Capability to navigate complex system landscapes and integrations.

• Strong track record of writing high-level business stories and detailed technical stories with acceptance criteria.

• Experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• High degree of independence and ownership.

• Strong collaborative mindset.

• Awareness and ability in risk management.

• Practical experience using AI-powered assistants like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.

• Must be based within the European Union region.

• A work permit is necessary.

• Nice to have: knowledge of the leasing or railway sector.

• Nice to have: experience with SAP systems.

• Nice to have: experience applying GenAI in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Nice to have: familiarity with AI-driven practices such as agent-based workflows and automation patterns.
