Senior Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Convert data into actionable business intelligence, addressing questions that have not yet been explored by the business.

• Organize and execute complex ad hoc analyses by integrating various data sources.

• Interpret analytical results into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders across different departments and organizational levels.

• Develop and maintain analytical models using SQL and advanced spreadsheets to facilitate recurring decisions.

• Actively seek opportunities to enhance processes or efficiency based on data insights.

• Work alongside product, operations, and finance teams to contextualize analyses within the business environment.

• Document methodologies to ensure analyses are reproducible, fostering analytical knowledge and institutional memory within the team.

• Contribute to the analytics strategy by suggesting priorities based on anticipated impact.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Advanced SQL — capable of independently writing complex queries, including CTEs, window functions, and joins across multiple tables, without engineering assistance.

• Expert in Advanced Excel / Google Sheets — skilled in dynamic models, pivot tables, and automations; does not utilize spreadsheets as databases.

• Prior experience in fintech, payments, credit, insurance, or regulated financial services is essential.

• Demonstrated ability to perform end-to-end analyses—from formulating the business question to providing recommendations—without needing detailed guidance.

• Familiarity with BI tools such as Metabase, Looker, Power BI, or similar is an advantage, though not mandatory.

• Proficiency in English or Spanish for technical reading and communication with regional teams is beneficial.

• Analytical independence: defines the analysis scope, chooses the approach, and delivers results without needing step-by-step supervision.

• Structured reasoning: deconstructs complex problems into manageable parts and clearly communicates the rationale.

• Influence without authority: convinces stakeholders through data and compelling narratives rather than relying on hierarchy.

• Proactive approach: provides insights with concrete recommendations and goes beyond mere observation.
