Senior Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate requirements for business processes, systems, and applications.

• Comprehend business challenges, identify areas for improvement, and propose effective solutions.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business processes and requirements.

• Conduct interviews, workshops, and meetings to assess business needs and pain points.

• Utilize surveys, data analysis, and process modeling to uncover opportunities for process enhancement.

• Lead, analyze, identify, design, prioritize, and implement changes to processes and business operations.

• Create and maintain business requirements, user stories, use cases, and functional specifications.

• Analyze and interpret data, identify trends, and establish success measures and metrics.

• Provide insights on proposed solutions and collaborate with project managers, product owners, and subject matter experts.

• Apply user research skills and design principles to support the development of intuitive user interfaces.

• Manage requirements and user stories throughout the project lifecycle in Azure DevOps, including backlogs.

• Define test cases and scenarios; support business process testing, usability evaluations, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Assess the efficiency, usability, and impact of business processes and end-to-end services.

• Employ agile methodologies for iterative and rapid delivery where applicable.

• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

• Analyze organizational strategy and landscape to support future-state architecture and operating models.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in a Business Analyst role.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficiency in business analysis tools and documentation software.

• Knowledge and experience working on Government projects adhering to Service Standards.

• Familiarity with project methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and Waterfall.

• Experience in business process redesign.

• Strong leadership skills, serving as a role model, partner, and mentor to project teams and clients.

• Results-oriented with strong business acumen combined with analytical and structured thinking.

• Consulting skills, including team facilitation, conflict resolution, and business case development.

• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, rapidly changing environment while managing ambiguity and diverse opinions.
