This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Investigate, assess, negotiate, and adjust low to moderately complex auto claims related to third-party injuries as well as first-party uninsured or underinsured motorist losses.
• Verify that coverage is active for the reported loss.
• Examine liability by researching relevant laws and regulations, interviewing involved parties, analyzing damage photographs, and reviewing police documentation.
• Negotiate and resolve injury claims with claimants, policyholders, or their legal representatives.
• Execute routine assignments and address issues under direct supervision.
• Deliver claims services through various channels to members and external customers.
• Leverage knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance products, services, processes, policy contracts, coverages, and GM Insurance claims protocols.
• Seek assistance and recognize issues that require escalation.
• Collaborate with or direct vendors and internal business partners to facilitate the resolution of claims.
• Contribute to business objectives and performance metrics while effectively utilizing tools and technology.
• Support workload increases and catastrophe operations as necessary.
• Experience in a high-volume phone-based contact center environment utilizing a headset.
• Knowledge of establishing enduring relationships with both internal and external customers and business partners.
• Proficiency in a Windows operating environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to implement and adapt to rapid changes.
• Skill in navigating and working across multiple systems simultaneously.
• Ability to utilize AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
• Competence in evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias.
• Experience in integrating AI into workflows to enhance efficiency or insights.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted research, summarization, and content creation.
• Understanding of responsible AI usage, including ethics and data protection.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of 4 years of auto claims adjusting experience is required.
• At least 2 years of experience managing injury claims is required.
• An Insurance Adjuster License is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Over 2 years of customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience in FL/GA/TX/AZ is preferred.
