Senior Bioinformatics Scientist – Multi-Cancer Early Detection

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and validate innovative algorithms to analyze extensive multimodal epigenomic datasets.

• Lead research analyses by implementing, testing, and evaluating performance, including adding new features to existing pipelines.

• Collaborate with sequencing and clinical data from large cohorts, ensuring the integrity and quality control of the data.

• Work alongside molecular biologists and clinical scientists to tackle challenging, open-ended issues.

• Visualize outcomes and present intricate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Contribute to the team's standards for code quality and reproducibility.

• Progress methods from prototype stage through scalable implementation towards clinical validation and application in patients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biology, or a related field; alternatively, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience.

• Proven track record in developing and validating analysis workflows for high-throughput sequencing data.

• Experience in applying and assessing statistical and ML methods on large datasets.

• Strong quantitative reasoning and data analysis skills relevant to real scientific challenges.

• Software development experience, with proficiency in Python and its scientific computing ecosystem.

• Proficient in using Linux command-line tools and cloud computing environments.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Working knowledge of DNA methylation and other forms of epigenomic data.

• Experience with cell-free DNA and liquid biopsy samples.

• Background in cancer genomics or diagnostics.

• Familiarity with data and metadata from large clinical cohorts.

• Understanding of AI tools for complex scientific tasks and foundation models applied to biological data.
