This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Construct, test, document, and sustain data products.
• Develop and uphold BI and data products utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure.
• Provide lakehouse, warehouse, pipeline, notebook, SQL object, and reporting components.
• Create Power BI semantic models, reports, and DAX calculations.
• Convert specified business requirements into technical narratives and delivery actions.
• Engage in technical discussions with client IT and business stakeholders directly.
• Operate within a structured agile delivery framework.
• Estimate tasks, manage stories, and fulfill sprint commitments.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance development, analysis, documentation, and quality assurance workflows.
• Design and create AI-driven data products that integrate trusted client data, LLMs, and specified business workflows.
• Identify and prototype use cases for automations, bots, copilots, and agents.
• Transform validated AI prototypes into secure, well-documented, and maintainable data products.
• Test, document, and launch production-ready data products.
• Utilize version control and collaborative delivery practices, preferably Git and Azure DevOps.
• Proactively raise delivery risks, data concerns, and ambiguous requirements with the Tech Lead and project lead.
• Recognize improvement opportunities within client data landscapes.
• Contribute reusable documentation and practical insights to MultiBase's internal knowledge base.
• Report to a Tech Lead and collaborate closely with project leads, developers, and client teams.
• Clarify technical details and estimate efforts prior to delivery.
• Showcase completed work and articulate technical choices clearly.
• Minimum of four years of experience in BI or data-platform development, including direct interaction with clients or business stakeholders.
• Proficient experience with Azure data-platform, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or Synapse.
• Practical knowledge of lakehouse and data warehouse concepts, as well as data pipelines and notebooks.
• Professional expertise in Power BI, covering semantic modeling, DAX, and report creation.
• Strong SQL and dimensional data-modeling skills, encompassing star-schema design and ETL/ELT patterns.
• Experience working in agile teams with structured stories, estimates, and sprint commitments.
• Familiarity with Git and a collaborative development workflow.
• Experience in testing, deploying, and maintaining production data products.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Daily, thoughtful engagement with AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, or their equivalents; verify outputs and maintain accountability for quality.
• Hands-on experience in designing, building, or deploying AI-driven data products, bots, copilots, or agents for real business applications is a significant advantage.
• Experience with current LLMs and small language models, including decisions regarding model selection, cost, latency, privacy, and quality is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of LLM APIs, agent orchestration, or automation platforms like OpenClaw, Claude Code, Cowork, Hermes, n8n, Make, or similar tools is a strong advantage.
• Experience in converting LLM, SLM, or agent prototypes into secure and maintainable data products is a strong advantage.
• Databricks experience is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in Python or PySpark for data engineering, automation, or notebook workflows is a strong advantage.
• German proficiency at B2 level or higher for DACH client communication is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps is advantageous.
• Experience in a client-facing project environment is a strong advantage.
• Active participation in knowledge sharing and interest in market and technological advancements are significant advantages.
• Remote-first work environment across CET/CEST or SAST-aligned time zones.
• Core collaboration hours are from 10:00 to 16:00 CET/CEST.
• Occasional client visits, typically several times a year and no more than once per quarter.
• Developers located outside Germany attend working sessions at the MultiBase headquarters in Gilching at least twice a year.
