This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead discussions on design and architecture for intricate backend systems.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering best practices in coding and testing.
• Oversee key aspects of the application lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Assess and integrate new technologies to enhance scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Collaborate with product owners and partners to shape technical direction.
• Ensure that stakeholders comprehend technical objectives.
• Contribute to and enhance CI/CD pipelines, build processes, and deployment strategies.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and technical design discussions.
• Design and sustain scalable .NET applications.
• Report directly to the Software Engineering Director.
• Assist in improving healthcare operations and patient outcomes through a platform that supports eligibility and coverage verification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of hands-on software development experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in .NET 8, C# 12+, and ASP.NET Core.
• Experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event-driven design.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing secure APIs.
• Knowledge of best practices for authentication and authorization.
• Experience in profiling and optimizing large-scale applications that handle millions of transactions daily.
• Familiarity with DRY, SOLID, and Clean Architecture principles.
• Proficiency in unit testing frameworks such as xUnit and Moq.
• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or Insomnia.
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL database systems.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Dynatrace and Amazon CloudWatch.
• Comfortable using Git for version control.
• Able to work in both Windows and Linux environments.
• Proficient in PowerShell and Bash scripting.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures and AWS services, including S3, Lambda, EC2, and EKS.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards like EDI and HL7 is highly regarded.
• Experience with HIPAA compliance is highly valued.
