Senior Backend Engineer – Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Play a vital role in the technical architecture of integrations, collaborating with internal teams and customer technical stakeholders.

• Design and develop integrated solutions tailored to specific customer use cases in partnership with Product and Software teams.

• Create reusable connectors and packages for third-party systems as web services on AWS or custom code within partner ecosystems like Salesforce.

• Oversee, maintain, and enhance existing production integrations to ensure optimal performance.

• Identify and resolve integration issues effectively.

• Elevate the team's technical standards through code reviews, adherence to testing standards, and mentoring of team members.

• Engage throughout the entire integration lifecycle, collaborating with customer-side engineers on technical strategies and ensuring implementation and production reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4+ years of professional experience.

• At least 2+ years of experience in building production systems using Python.

• Demonstrated ability in designing and utilizing REST APIs.

• Experience managing at least one third-party integration from start to finish.

• Strong foundation in automated testing practices, including unit and integration testing.

• Practical experience with AWS services, including computing resources, message queues like SQS, and managed database solutions.

• Expertise in designing for availability, reliability, and performance within distributed systems.

• Capable of collaborating directly with external technical stakeholders and translating ambiguous requirements into feasible designs.

• Experience in Salesforce or other partner ecosystem development is a plus.

• Familiarity with multi-tenant connector frameworks is advantageous.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools is a plus.

• Prior experience in a scaling B2B SaaS environment is preferred.
