This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and develop backend-driven functionalities for the game.

• Collaborate closely with game designers, client developers, product teams, and data analysts throughout the process from feature conception to launch and iterations.

• Create scalable systems for game progression, events, competitions, social features, and live operations.

• Provide strong technical leadership and critically evaluate product and design decisions to ensure features are both scalable and robust.

• Reuse and enhance Voodoo’s backend infrastructure where applicable, while facilitating rapid game development.

• Manage a range of responsibilities, including infrastructure and API design, as well as coding and client-side integration using Golang.

• Gather requirements, develop scalable code for millions of users, advocate for new technology initiatives, and utilize existing solutions effectively.

• Play a key role in evolving a successful casual game into a more immersive and competitive live experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend development.

• Strong understanding of computer science principles.

• Exceptional proficiency in Golang, with a minimum of 1 year in a professional setting.

• Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Experience with high-scale system architectures.

• Familiarity with Unix-like operating systems.

• Proven experience working within cross-functional agile teams.

• Strong analytical capabilities with a history of addressing complex challenges related to scalability, performance, and integration in high-stakes situations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence teams and effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.

• Self-sufficient and capable of working independently.

• A keen interest in game development is advantageous.

• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Paris.
