Senior Backend Developer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create software by coding applications, programs, and systems in accordance with project specifications and requirements.

• Evaluate software performance, detect and rectify issues, bugs, and failures, ensuring high quality, compliance with deadlines, and client satisfaction.

• Maintain documentation for code to aid in product upkeep and updates.

• Assist the development team by offering technical guidance and leadership in delivering effective solutions.

• Design efficient, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

• Investigate and implement new technologies to enhance software performance and efficiency.

• Monitor and track systems in production, identifying problems and executing solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certification in a programming language (preferred).

• Certification in cloud technologies (preferred).

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related discipline.

• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence in development, including tools like Devin, Cursor, or Gemini; AI API integration; LLM concepts; and best practices for incorporating AI in backend applications.

• Proficiency in Java versions 8, 11, and 21.

• Understanding of Spring Boot, microservices, and RESTful APIs.

• Experience with SQL Server and Sybase.

• Knowledge of GCP (Google Cloud Platform).

• Familiarity with Kafka, Pub/Sub, or RabbitMQ.

• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, or Kanban.

• Knowledge of creating and managing batch processing, preferably using Spring Batch.

• Experience with system integration patterns.

• Strong, assertive communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
