Senior Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Venezuela, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications utilizing Python, Django, and the Django REST Framework.

• Design and oversee PostgreSQL databases, focusing on efficient data structures, indexing, and query optimization.

• Create and sustain RESTful APIs to facilitate application functionality and system integrations.

• Evaluate and enhance database performance, scalability, and overall system efficiency.

• Implement and manage logging and monitoring solutions through the ELK Stack.

• Containerize applications and ensure consistent development environments using Docker.

• Assist in application deployment and infrastructure-related tasks utilizing AWS services.

• Apply encryption, authentication, and security best practices to safeguard applications.

• Develop and optimize caching and data management solutions with Redis.

• Diagnose backend issues, pinpoint performance bottlenecks, and deploy technical solutions.

• Collaborate with technical teams to uphold code quality, reliability, and application performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in backend development, ideally at a senior level.

• Advanced expertise in Python and SQL.

• Significant hands-on experience with Django and the Django REST Framework (DRF).

• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, encompassing database design, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• Familiarity with the ELK Stack for application logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

• Practical experience with Docker and containerized applications.

• Working knowledge of AWS services and cloud environments.

• Understanding of encryption techniques, authentication methods, and backend security practices.

• Experience with Redis for caching or data management purposes.

• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Ability to address complex technical challenges effectively.

• Capability to work autonomously, prioritize technical tasks, and contribute to scalable backend solutions.

• Availability from Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm EST.

• Experience with Celery for asynchronous task processing and background jobs is a plus.

• Familiarity with WebSockets for real-time communication and application functionality is a plus.
