Senior Back-End, MLOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain full-stack functionalities for marketplace products, encompassing search, ranking, and user-facing interfaces.

• Build and uphold MLOps infrastructure, which includes model deployment pipelines, feature stores, real-time data pipelines, and monitoring systems.

• Partner with data scientists and engineers to effectively deploy machine learning models in a reliable and scalable manner.

• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, and engage in code review processes.

• Assist in technical planning and decompose complex challenges into actionable tasks.

• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Work with data and feature pipelines, SQL, as well as experimentation/A/B testing frameworks.

• Report on progress, highlight obstacles, and collaborate with distributed teams across various time zones.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend or full-stack development.

• Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Go, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Practical experience with MLOps or production-level machine learning systems.

• Familiarity with tools such as Vertex AI, MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar platforms.

• Experience with feature stores, preferably Chalk or a similar technology.

• Strong SQL capabilities and experience working with data and feature pipelines.

• Experience with cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure, with a preference for GCP.

• Comprehensive understanding of machine learning principles and model deployment.

• Excellent debugging abilities.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and colleagues across different time zones.

• Experience with search, ranking, recommendation systems, real-time systems, or performance/latency optimization is a significant advantage.

• Background in online marketplaces, mentoring engineers, frontend development, A/B testing, or AI-assisted development tools is a plus.

• Candidates must be able to work from Latin America, as the application inquires about their current location.
