Senior Back-End Engineer, MLOps – Real Estate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Dominican Republic.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain full-stack functionalities across marketplace products, encompassing search, ranking, and user-oriented experiences.

• Create and maintain MLOps infrastructure, which includes model deployment pipelines, feature stores, real-time data pipelines, and monitoring systems.

• Work together with data scientists and engineers to reliably and efficiently deploy machine learning models into production at scale.

• Produce clean, well-tested, and maintainable code while participating in code reviews.

• Engage in technical planning and decompose complex challenges into manageable, executable tasks.

• Detect and address performance, reliability, and scalability challenges within existing systems.

• Collaborate with data and feature pipelines, SQL, and experimentation/A/B testing frameworks.

• Clearly communicate progress, promptly identify blockers, and work collaboratively with distributed teams across various time zones.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong background in backend or full-stack development.

• Proficiency in backend development with expertise in at least one of the following: Go, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Practical experience with MLOps or production machine learning systems, such as Vertex AI, MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar technologies.

• Familiarity with feature stores, preferably Chalk or a comparable technology.

• Strong SQL capabilities and experience in managing data and feature pipelines.

• Experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure, with a preference for GCP.

• Solid grasp of machine learning principles and model deployment techniques.

• Excellent debugging skills, a sense of ownership, and strong communication abilities.

• Capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and colleagues across varying time zones.

• Experience in search, ranking, recommendation systems, real-time systems, or performance/latency optimization is highly advantageous.

• Background in online marketplaces, mentoring engineers, frontend development, A/B testing, or AI-assisted development tools is a plus.

• Must be able to work remotely from Latin America, as indicated by the required application question regarding current residency in Latin America.
