Senior Back-End Developer – Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and develop software by coding applications, programs, and systems in accordance with project specifications and requirements.

• Conduct tests on the developed software, identifying and addressing issues, bugs, and failures.

• Ensure deliverable quality, meet deadlines, and maintain customer satisfaction.

• Document code effectively to aid in product maintenance and future updates.

• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the development team in delivering effective solutions.

• Create efficient, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

• Research and implement new technologies to enhance software performance and efficiency.

• Monitor and track production systems, identifying problems and deploying solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Technology or a related discipline.

• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence in software development, including tools like Devin, Cursor, or Gemini; AI API integration; LLM concepts; and best practices for AI adoption in back-end applications.

• Proficient in Java versions 8, 11, and 21.

• Expertise in Spring Boot.

• Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.

• Knowledge of SQL Server and Sybase databases.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka, Pub/Sub, or RabbitMQ.

• Experience with agile methodologies, including Scrum, XP, or Kanban.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Experience in creating and monitoring batch processing, preferably using Spring Batch.

• Exposure to systems integration patterns.

• Programming language certification is a plus.

• Cloud certification is preferred.
