Senior Back-End Developer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create software by coding applications, programs, and systems according to project specifications and requirements.

• Evaluate the developed software, pinpointing and fixing issues, bugs, and defects.

• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, deadlines, and achieve customer satisfaction.

• Document code to aid in product maintenance and future updates.

• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the development team in delivering effective solutions.

• Design efficient, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

• Explore and implement new technologies to enhance software performance and efficiency.

• Monitor and track systems in production, identifying problems and applying solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certification in a programming language (preferred).

• Certification in cloud technologies (preferred).

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related field.

• Understanding of artificial intelligence applications in development, including Devin, Cursor, or Gemini; AI API integration; LLM concepts; and best practices for incorporating AI in backend applications.

• Proficiency in Java versions 8, 11, and 21.

• Familiarity with Spring Boot.

• Knowledge of microservices and RESTful APIs.

• Experience with SQL Server and Sybase databases.

• Familiarity with GCP (Google Cloud Platform).

• Knowledge of messaging systems like Kafka, Pub/Sub, or RabbitMQ.

• Experience in collaborative environments utilizing Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, or Kanban).

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Understanding of creating and monitoring batch processing, preferably with Spring Batch.

• Experience with system integration patterns.
