Senior Back-End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, improve, and sustain applications utilizing Java and JVM-based technologies.

• Create and integrate microservices and APIs.

• Collaborate with Spring Boot and Node.js in distributed systems.

• Engage in defining and executing technical solutions that prioritize scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Operate in containerized environments utilizing Docker and Kubernetes.

• Play a role in CI/CD processes, continuous integration, and automated deployment.

• Develop and manage unit tests, employing practices such as TDD and BDD.

• Participate in teams that adopt agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.

• Contribute to the enhancement of DevOps practices and software quality.

• Work within public and private cloud environments.

• Ensure the implementation of best practices, maintaining code that is readable, testable, secure, and easy to manage.

• Assist in the development, enhancement, and operation of highly complex systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Over 6 years of experience in Software Engineering.

• Strong experience with Java and/or JVM-based languages.

• Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, and Node.js.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes, including AKS, EKS, GKE, and OpenShift.

• Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, such as GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus, SonarQube, Bamboo, and StarTeam.

• Understanding of CI/CD, continuous integration, and automated deployment.

• Background in unit testing, TDD, and BDD.

• Experience in working with agile methodologies, notably Scrum.

• Knowledge of public and private cloud platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

• Familiarity with Kafka and Kafka Streams.

• Knowledge of WebSphere and JBoss.

• Experience with distributed architectures and high-availability systems.

• Proficiency in code quality, automation, and observability practices.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to function as part of a team and collaborate with various departments.
