Senior Back-End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain Java applications and microservices utilizing Spring Boot

• Engage with legacy systems (Struts, Servlets, JSP, PrimeFaces)

• Implement container solutions with Docker and manage orchestration via Kubernetes

• Create data-streaming solutions utilizing Kafka and Kafka Streams

• Maintain code quality by adhering to best practices and conducting testing

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, and Product Owners)

• Record processes and architectural decisions

• Monitor and resolve issues in production environments

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline

• Proven experience in software engineering, particularly in Java and/or JVM-based languages

• Proficient in developing and operating systems using Java, microservices, and APIs

• Familiarity with service containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, including vanilla Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, GKE, OpenShift, among others)

• Understanding of DevOps tools and methodologies (Nexus, SonarQube, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, and StarTeam)

• Knowledge of continuous integration, automated deployment, unit testing, TDD, BDD, and Agile methodologies (Scrum)

• Experience in both private and public cloud environments, including Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

• Strong emphasis on quality and best practices, committed to writing clear, well-tested, and maintainable code

• Proficient in Java

• Familiar with Spring Boot

• Knowledgeable in WebSphere and JBoss

• Experienced with Kafka and Kafka Streams

• Familiar with SQL Server

• Knowledgeable in Kubernetes
