Senior Back-End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain Java applications and microservices utilizing Spring Boot.

• Collaborate with legacy systems including Struts, Servlets, JSP, and PrimeFaces.

• Implement containerization strategies with Docker and manage orchestration using Kubernetes.

• Create data-streaming solutions leveraging Kafka and Kafka Streams.

• Maintain code quality by adhering to best practices and performing thorough testing.

• Work in partnership with cross-functional teams such as QA, DevOps, and Product Owners.

• Document processes and architectural decisions effectively.

• Monitor and resolve issues in production environments.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends within the industry.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in software engineering, particularly with Java and/or JVM-based languages.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and operating systems with Java, microservices, and APIs.

• Familiarity with service containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, as well as platforms like AKS, EKS, GKE, and OpenShift.

• Understanding of DevOps tools such as Nexus, SonarQube, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, and StarTeam.

• Knowledgeable in continuous integration, automated deployment, unit testing, TDD, BDD, and Agile methodologies (Scrum).

• Experience with private and public cloud environments like Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Strong emphasis on quality and best practices, ensuring clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.

• Proficiency in Java.

• Proficient with Spring Boot.

• Experience with WebSphere and JBoss.

• Familiarity with Kafka and Kafka Streams.

• Proficient in SQL Server.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes.
