Senior Back-End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create, enhance, and sustain applications utilizing Java and JVM-based technologies.

• Design and integrate microservices and APIs.

• Collaborate with Spring Boot and Node.js in distributed system solutions.

• Engage in defining and executing technical solutions aimed at scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Operate in containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Contribute to CI/CD processes, continuous integration, and automated deployment.

• Develop and uphold unit tests following TDD and BDD methodologies.

• Participate in teams employing Agile methodologies, with a focus on Scrum.

• Aid in the advancement of DevOps practices and software quality.

• Work with both public and private cloud environments.

• Ensure adherence to best practices while maintaining code that is readable, testable, secure, and maintainable.

• Contribute to the development, enhancement, and operation of highly complex systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Over 6 years of experience in Software Engineering.

• Strong experience with Java and/or JVM-based languages.

• Familiarity with Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, and Node.js.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, including AKS, EKS, GKE, and OpenShift.

• Experience with DevOps tools and practices, such as GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus, SonarQube, Bamboo, and StarTeam.

• Understanding of CI/CD, continuous integration, and automated deployment processes.

• Experience with unit testing, TDD, and BDD methodologies.

• Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.

• Knowledge of public and private cloud platforms, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

• Familiarity with Kafka, Kafka Streams, WebSphere, and JBoss is a plus.

• Experience with distributed architectures and highly available environments is advantageous.

• Experience with code quality, automation, and observability is beneficial.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Capacity to work within a team and collaborate across various departments.

• Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve issues.
