Senior Back End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain Java applications and microservices utilizing Spring Boot.

• Engage with legacy systems including Struts, Servlets, JSP, and PrimeFaces.

• Implement containerization with Docker and manage orchestration using Kubernetes.

• Create data streaming solutions leveraging Kafka and Kafka Streams.

• Uphold code quality by adhering to best practices and performing testing.

• Collaborate with diverse teams including QA, DevOps, and Product Owners.

• Document processes and architectural decisions comprehensively.

• Monitor and resolve issues within production environments effectively.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry advancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in software engineering, particularly with Java and/or JVM-based languages.

• Experience in developing and managing systems utilizing Java, microservices, and APIs.

• Familiarity with service containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, GKE, OpenShift, etc.).

• Understanding of DevOps tools and methodologies (Nexus, SonarQube, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, StarTeam).

• Knowledge of continuous integration, automated deployment, unit testing, TDD, BDD, and Agile methodologies (Scrum).

• Experience with private and public cloud platforms: Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Strong commitment to quality and best practices, ensuring code is readable, well-tested, and maintainable.

• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, WebSphere, JBoss, Kafka, Kafka Streams, SQL Server, and Kubernetes.
