Senior AWS Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain Data Engineering platforms utilizing the AWS Native stack.

• Design and create generalized, reusable modules employing contemporary Python development practices.

• Utilize object-oriented programming principles to engineer maintainable and scalable data processing solutions.

• Collaborate with agile development teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions.

• Diagnose root causes of issues in existing data and suggestion generation pipelines.

• Implement resolutions by debugging AWS Step Functions, Glue, Athena, and Lambda.

• Leverage modern Python development tools and engineering practices to enhance code quality, testing, and deployment efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in advanced Python programming, including the use of pandas for data manipulation and analysis.

• Familiarity with object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.

• Skilled in modern Python development tools and best practices.

• Experience with AWS Glue for ETL processes.

• Knowledge of Amazon Athena for data querying.

• Experience with DynamoDB for NoSQL data storage solutions.

• Proficient in using AWS Step Functions and Lambda for workflow orchestration.

• Strong understanding of AWS-based cloud architecture.

• Background in agile software development methodologies and project management tools such as Azure DevOps.

• 5–10 years of data engineering experience with exposure to global or regional projects is a plus.

• Experience with CI/CD, version control, and automated testing practices.
