Senior Aviation Maintenance Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct inspections and repairs on aircraft following maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, Federal Aviation Regulations, and relevant maintenance manuals.

• Efficiently plan maintenance activities to enhance aircraft availability.

• Act as the Lead Mechanic when the Lead Mechanic is unavailable.

• Confirm component and assembly part numbers and serial numbers against the corresponding documentation.

• Complete aircraft maintenance records in accordance with regulations, company policies, procedures, and maintenance manuals.

• Request aviation parts and supplies while managing an organized inventory.

• Engage in the continuous improvement aspect of the company’s Safety Management System.

• Keep a clean and professional workspace.

• Inform the Pilot in Command about maintenance issues that could ground an aircraft.

• Address compliance or safety concerns as directed by company leadership.

• Validate or confirm data in the aircraft Status Report.

• Mentor mechanics and deliver on-the-job training.

• Troubleshoot and offer telephone and on-site assistance to remote mechanics.

• Be available for on-call duties during nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Execute other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Residency in the Northeast Region: CT, DE, MA, MD, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VA, or WV is required.

• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience and/or training.

• An active/current FAA A&P license is required and must be in good standing.

• Completion of factory airframe/power plant schools is preferred.

• Familiarity with FAR 135 operations is preferred.

• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and advanced vibration-balancing.

• Experience with sheet metal and composite repair techniques.

• Capability to read and comprehend 337s, Service Bulletins, ADs, and similar documents.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Team player with a professional demeanor.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and a 24/7 on-call rotation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Experience with RAMCO is preferred.

• Inspection Authorization (IA) is preferred.

• Must comply with DOT/FAA drug and/or alcohol testing regulations.

• Regular attendance is mandatory.

• Must be willing to travel 100% of the time.
