Senior Automation Testing Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Deliver automation and testing support for software releases, emphasizing the automation test platform.

• Examine logs and troubleshoot ongoing processes.

• Revise existing automation tests from the backlog.

• Collaborate with the network team.

• Develop and implement automated tests in two significant internal testing environments.

• Work across departments to grasp project scopes.

• Report on the status of testing activities.

• Innovate new methodologies for test automation.

• Provide mentorship to team members.

• Utilize a custom Python-Selenium-based automation framework for comprehensive testing.

• Create and execute new test scripts for thorough end-to-end product evaluations.

• Analyze executed test results using logs from the test framework, product logs, and traffic dumps to detect issues.

• Sustain, support, and enhance the current automation framework.

• Design tools to improve automation processes.

• Identify and rectify weaknesses in automated procedures.

• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and TechOps teams to ensure Test Automation objectives are aligned with company goals and strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• More than 6 years of experience in software testing or QA.

• Preferably experience with SaaS or web applications.

• Familiarity with programming concepts and scripting languages, including Python and Javascript.

• Experienced with public cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.

• Knowledge of version control, bug-tracking, and test management systems.

• Experience in front-end testing of web applications.

• Background in back-end testing, API testing, or microservices testing.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Basic proficiency in log analysis.

• Practical knowledge of databases (e.g., MySQL or similar).

• Fundamental understanding of UNIX/Linux.

• Experience with high-volume transactional systems is advantageous.

• Good familiarity with Playwright.
