Senior Automation Testing Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Deliver automation and testing support for software releases, emphasizing the automation test platform.

• Examine logs and troubleshoot ongoing processes.

• Revise existing automation tests from the backlog.

• Collaborate with the network team.

• Design and implement automated tests in two significant internal testing environments.

• Work across departments to grasp project scopes.

• Provide updates on testing progress.

• Innovate new test automation methodologies.

• Guide and mentor team members.

• Utilize a custom Python-Selenium-based automation framework for thorough testing.

• Develop and execute new test scripts for comprehensive end-to-end product evaluation.

• Analyze executed test results through test framework logs, product logs, and traffic dumps to pinpoint issues.

• Maintain, support, and enhance the existing automation framework.

• Create tools to improve automation processes and testing workflows.

• Identify and resolve weaknesses in automated processes.

• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and TechOps teams to ensure Test Automation objectives align with company priorities and strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in software testing or QA.

• Preferably experience in SaaS or web applications.

• Familiarity with programming concepts and scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript.

• Experience with public cloud providers like GCP, AWS, or Azure.

• Understanding of version control, bug-tracking, and test management systems.

• Background in front-end testing of web applications.

• Experience in back-end testing, API testing, or microservices testing.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

• Basic log analysis skills.

• Practical knowledge of databases such as MySQL.

• Fundamental understanding of UNIX/Linux.

• Experience with high-volume transactional systems is advantageous.

• Good knowledge of Playwright is a plus.
