Senior Automation Testing Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Provide automation and testing assistance for software releases.

• Analyze logs and troubleshoot ongoing processes.

• Update current automation tests from the backlog.

• Collaborate with the network team.

• Write and implement automated tests in two internal testing environments.

• Work across departments to comprehend project scopes.

• Report on testing progress and outcomes.

• Develop innovative test automation methodologies.

• Mentor and guide team members.

• Utilize a custom Python-Selenium automation framework for comprehensive testing.

• Create and execute test scripts for thorough end-to-end product evaluation.

• Review test results using framework logs, product logs, and traffic dumps to pinpoint issues.

• Maintain, support, and enhance the current automation framework.

• Develop tools to improve automation processes.

• Identify and rectify weaknesses in automated workflows.

• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and TechOps teams to align testing objectives with company priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.

• Preferred experience in SaaS or web applications.

• Familiarity with programming concepts and scripting languages, including Python and JavaScript.

• Experience with public cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.

• Knowledge of version control, bug tracking, and test management systems.

• Experience in front-end testing of web applications.

• Background in back-end testing, API testing, or microservices testing.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Basic skills in log analysis.

• Practical experience with databases like MySQL.

• Basic understanding of UNIX/Linux.

• Experience with high-volume transactional systems is a plus.

• Good knowledge of Playwright is a nice-to-have.
