Senior Automation Testing Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Deliver automation and testing support for software releases, emphasizing the automation test platform.

• Examine logs and troubleshoot ongoing processes.

• Revise existing automation tests from the backlog.

• Collaborate with the network team.

• Write and implement automated tests in two internal testing environments.

• Work together with various departments to comprehend project scopes.

• Provide updates on testing progress.

• Create innovative test automation methodologies.

• Guide and mentor team members.

• Utilize a custom Python-Selenium-based automation framework for extensive testing.

• Develop and execute new test scripts for thorough end-to-end product testing.

• Analyze and interpret executed test results using test framework logs, product logs, and traffic dumps.

• Sustain, support, and enhance the current automation framework.

• Create tools to improve automation processes.

• Identify and resolve weaknesses in automated processes.

• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and TechOps teams to synchronize testing objectives with company priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.

• Preferred experience in SaaS or web applications.

• Familiarity with programming concepts and scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript.

• Experience with public cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure.

• Understanding of version control, bug-tracking, and test management systems.

• Background in front-end testing of web applications.

• Experience in back-end testing, API testing, or microservices testing.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

• Basic proficiency in log analysis.

• Practical experience with databases such as MySQL.

• Basic understanding of UNIX/Linux.

• Experience with high-volume transactional systems is advantageous.

• Good knowledge of Playwright is a plus.
