Senior Audit Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the construction and execution of the Audit Plan for designated Technology Domain areas.

• Acquire domain knowledge and exhibit understanding during internal meetings and interactions with Audit Directors.

• Facilitate audit scoping meetings and engage in audit discussions.

• Establish consistent communication with Technology management to oversee assigned technology environments.

• Ensure audit teams fulfill their audit tasks and submit draft/final reports punctually.

• Oversee report review processes and fieldwork deadlines, including providing risk-based justifications for extensions.

• Comprehend existing and emerging risks within assigned domains and stay updated on new technologies.

• Propel continuous auditing and monitoring initiatives.

• Manage co-sourced partnerships that support the completion of the audit plan.

• Aid the department's technology-domain risk assessment process.

• Advise business stakeholders on risk and control issues, audit findings, and control improvements.

• Guide audit teams in incorporating data analytics throughout the audit process.

• Support and advance the strategic objectives of the department.

• Produce clear, concise, and well-structured audit reports for Bank management.

• Prepare for and lead management and internal departmental meetings.

• Collaborate with first- and second-line risk groups.

• Convey technical concepts to audiences without technical expertise.

• Forge partnerships with business stakeholders and audit team members.

• Engage with regulators during examinations and MRA/MRIA validations.

• Coach, mentor, and supervise junior audit team members.

• Participate in staffing, performance evaluations, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management, and terminations for direct reports.

• Report to an Audit Director and autonomously deliver high-quality, timely assurance services with minimal oversight.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of both traditional and modern technology infrastructure, encompassing servers, databases, network and storage infrastructure, cloud technology, middleware/integration services, and contemporary development and delivery practices, as well as emerging technologies utilized by financial services organizations.

• Familiarity with core technology services and operations, along with related risks and controls, including data center operations, change, incident, problem and asset management, enterprise architecture, software engineering, business continuity, and operational resilience.

• Working knowledge of technology risk management frameworks such as CRI, ITIL 4, and COBIT.

• Understanding of supervisory expectations and regulations pertinent to technology risk management, including FFIEC IT Handbooks, NYSDFS NYCRR 500, and Fed SR-Letters.

• Certifications in technology risk management, IT Audit, or cybersecurity risk management, such as CISSP, CISA, or CCSK.

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Business, Finance, Technology, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, Statistics, or another related technical field.

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including 4 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

• Related certifications such as CISA or similar qualifications.

• Strong judgment, political awareness, and sensitivity to cultural diversity.

• Clear and effective oral and written communication abilities.

• Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to develop and mentor others.
