Senior Associate, Surgical Field Sales – Retina and Glaucoma

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Attain sales objectives for designated accounts or regions within the Retina and Glaucoma surgical product lines.

• Market and sell Alcon products through diverse sales initiatives.

• Establish and nurture relationships with retina and glaucoma surgeons, influential thought leaders, and high-volume practitioners.

• Identify and cultivate new business prospects.

• Implement a comprehensive sales strategy and plan.

• Regularly visit clients and offer essential support.

• Engage in and lead events and meetings to inform customers about products, services, and pricing.

• Build and maintain a customer database.

• Conduct competitive market assessments to safeguard Alcon's product market presence and respond to competitive actions and clinical expertise, leading to enhanced sales of Alcon Intraocular Lens.

• Provide prompt reports and ensure precise documentation of sales activities and customer interactions as per company requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent; Preferred: B.Sc., B. Comm.

• 3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical, or surgical sales; experience in ophthalmics is preferred.

• Clinical knowledge with a focus on retina/glaucoma treatments.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and business acumen skills.

• Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.

• Must be located in the British Columbia or Alberta area.

• Willingness to travel up to 60%; regular travel within the territory; additional travel across North America may be necessary.

• Availability for evening/weekend travel for meetings, conferences, and operating room support.

• Preferred: experience in surgical ophthalmology or pharmaceutical sales.

• Preferred: experience in practice development or launching new technologies.
