
Senior Associate Operations – Portfolio Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Operate Canoe Intelligence to gather, extract, and process alternative investment documents, which include capital call notices, distribution notices, quarterly statements, and Schedule K-1 forms.
• Review and verify AI-extracted data, address exceptions, and ensure accuracy prior to updating downstream systems.
• Maintain document routing protocols, entity mappings, and fund information.
• Oversee ingestion queues and monitor service-level expectations.
• Collaborate with fund administrators and general partners to secure missing documentation.
• Reconcile alternative investment data between Canoe Intelligence and Orion Portfolio Solutions.
• Investigate and rectify discrepancies in positions, transactions, and valuations.
• Assist in performance reporting and data integrity assessments for alternative investments held within client accounts.
• Partner with advisors to guarantee accurate client-facing information.
• Ensure Salesforce CRM records reflect current client and investment relationships.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel functions, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and data validation to arrange, analyze, and confirm operational data.
• Create documented procedures and enhance workflows, spreadsheet tools, and operating standards.
• Collaborate with investment operations, advisory, and technology teams, along with fund administrators and general partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related discipline.
• One to three years of experience in investment operations, financial services, or a comparable role.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Orion Portfolio Solutions or a similar portfolio management and reporting system.
• Willingness and capability to develop subject-matter expertise in Canoe Intelligence.
• Strong analytical judgment and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data discrepancies with minimal oversight.
• Excellent organizational skills and process discipline.
• Ability to manage intricate workflows and competing priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across a distributed team.
• Preferred: experience with Canoe Intelligence or a similar alternative investment data platform.
• Preferred: Salesforce experience in a financial services context.
