Project Accounting Analyst – Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Project Accounting (PRJ/PPM) workstream within Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.

• Collect, analyze, and document business requirements.

• Conduct a fit-gap analysis between the requirements and the current Oracle Projects/PPM configuration.

• Create functional solutions, process flows, configuration workbooks, and functional specifications.

• Configure Oracle Project Accounting and develop proof-of-concepts for project costing, billing, and revenue recognition.

• Design and validate accounting flows from Project Accounting to the General Ledger.

• Define integrations with GL, Procurement, and other applications.

• Work on Chart of Accounts mapping and project-related accounting considerations, including Accounting Hub when necessary.

• Prepare functional design documents and configuration deliverables for stakeholder approval.

• Guide offshore and technical resources responsible for RICE development.

• Review and approve RICE objects, interfaces, reports, conversions, and extensions.

• Develop test scenarios and lead SIT, UAT, regression, and functional testing.

• Monitor defects and coordinate the resolution of functional issues.

• Assist with deployments, cutover activities, and go-live procedures.

• Provide post-production support, including incident triage, root-cause analysis, bug fixes, and enhancements.

• Lead quarterly assessments of Oracle Cloud releases and patches.

• Evaluate new Oracle PPM features for their business relevance.

• Support month-end and year-end project close activities and reconciliation.

• Coordinate with Oracle Support on complex product issues.

• Collaborate with GL, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Accounting Hub, Procurement, and other functional leads.

• Offer functional leadership and knowledge transfer to both offshore and onshore team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in Oracle Project Financials, Project Accounting, or Oracle PPM.

• Extensive experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.

• Experience with Oracle EBS Project Accounting is a plus.

• Proven track record of owning Project Accounting through at least one complete Oracle implementation, rollout, upgrade, or managed-services transition.

• Strong hands-on expertise in project costing, project billing, revenue recognition, and project accounting.

• Familiarity with Oracle Project Accounting integrations with General Ledger and Procurement.

• Experience in Oracle Cloud configuration and functional solution design.

• Ability to prepare functional design documents and configuration workbooks.

• Experience collaborating with offshore and technical teams on RICE development.

• Solid understanding of accounting distributions and project-related journal flows into GL.

• Proficient in SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect management, deployment, and production support.

• Experience evaluating Oracle quarterly updates/releases and assessing functional impact.

• Strong experience supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
