Manager, Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Provide direction and oversight for the financial close process.

• Supervise transactional accounting, consolidation, the review, and periodic financial reporting.

• Lead a team consisting of 2 or more staff members.

• Centralize activities carried out by multiple teams across various ERP systems.

• Design and oversee systems and controls while implementing relevant accounting processes.

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures across all entities.

• Implement processes to ensure transaction accuracy and legitimate business purpose.

• Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes and controls.

• Develop and oversee financial controls in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Maintain and implement internal controls to protect company inventory.

• Keep process narratives, control matrices, and flowcharts up to date.

• Address and follow up on control deficiencies.

• Review financial statements and conduct flux analysis to identify and rectify errors, omissions, or misstatements.

• Document and provide monthly financial statement reviews and commentary.

• Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of consolidated financial results.

• Collaborate with Plant Controllership to analyze and communicate emerging trends, variances, and significant transactions.

• Periodically review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure that reconciling items are addressed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• CPA designation preferred.

• Over 8 years of relevant experience.

• Experience in Big 4 public accounting is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with accounting in a public company or within a rapidly growing organization.

• Proficient in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

• Experience in a managerial role is preferred.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle R12, NetSuite, JDE, or Epicor is preferred.

• Experience with consolidation systems like OneStream or Hyperion is preferred.

• Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
