This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate with Surgical Account Managers to create and implement tailored business strategies for hospitals, surgical centers, clinics, and ophthalmology practices.
• Offer clinical and technical training on intraocular lenses, cataract and refractive procedures, as well as diagnostic technologies.
• Assist with patient selection, biometry and power calculations, keratometry, intraocular lens selection, workflow considerations, and questions related to reimbursement.
• Conduct product demonstrations and provide training after product launches.
• Articulate the clinical and business advantages of Alcon cataract and refractive solutions.
• Deliver practice-development services, which include assessments, customer-service evaluations, operational efficiency and scheduling reviews, strategic planning, and marketing assistance.
• Foster and sustain customer relationships, pinpoint training requirements, and coordinate follow-ups.
• Create territory plans and routing schedules for Montreal North, Southshore, Laval, Outaouais, and Abitibi.
• Track account activities and KPIs, maintain CRM records, and fulfill administrative responsibilities.
• Collaborate on regional marketing strategies, product launches, continuing medical education, conferences, and customer events.
• Strive to meet territory sales goals as well as broader regional and national objectives.
• Travel within the territory and participate in occasional evening or weekend events, conferences, meetings, and training.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent post-secondary education.
• 3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, surgical, or healthcare sales.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
• In-depth knowledge of cataract procedures, diagnostic testing, ocular optics, and the clinical application of intraocular lenses, or the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
• Strong skills in presentation, consultative selling, negotiation, organization, and networking.
• Proven business acumen and analytical skills.
• Capacity to quickly establish credibility with ophthalmologists and clinical teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience with computerized sales administration or customer relationship management systems.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities while collaborating with a wider sales and support team.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly within Montreal North, Laval, and Lanaudière.
• Preferred: experience in ophthalmic surgical sales, cataract and refractive surgery, practice development, advanced-technology intraocular lenses, product launches, clinical education, or operating-room stakeholders.
• Preferred: a professional background as an optometrist, optician, ophthalmic technician, nurse, or another relevant eye-care professional combined with commercial experience.
