Senior Associate, Derivatives Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Assist in the monthly statutory closing process for derivative investments by creating accounting entries, schedules, and necessary documentation.

• Develop and uphold statutory reporting schedules and analyses.

• Aid in statutory hedge accounting tasks, including documentation, designated hedge tracking, and required reporting.

• Conduct reconciliations of accounts related to derivatives and investigate routine variances.

• Examine derivative activities and settlements to ensure accurate recording and verification of source documentation.

• Implement assigned SOX controls and manage documentation for the control environment.

• Provide support for internal and external audits, examinations, and regulatory inquiries.

• Confirm the completeness and accuracy of derivative data, cash flows, and reporting outputs.

• Detect process inefficiencies and suggest enhancements to templates, procedures, and workflows.

• Assist with system implementations, testing activities, and changes to processes.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in derivative accounting that is directly related to the responsibilities of this position.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Proficient verbal and written communication abilities.
